NOTICE OF MOTION - KIMBRIKI BUY BACK CENTRE

Notice of Motion by Clr Sue Heins

With the new roll out of the Waste services including a metal collection service to residents, the Buy Back Centre should become an even more desirable aspect of Kimbriki in the future. This Centre was previously a vibrant part of Kimbriki and it is noted with concern from residents that the materials available have progressively declined in variety and quantity. This motion is to ask Council to investigate options to improve the service and options such as a repair style cafe which are already operating in other areas. As residents become more aware about the War on Waste, now be an opportunity to investigate innovative ideas for this once vibrant Centre and create an attractive option for those wanting to reuse unwanted materials and avoid items going to landfill.
