STREAMLINING COUNCILLOR REQUESTS FOR ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS AND IMPROVE RATEPAYER SERVICE


In an effort for Councillors to gain information in certain circumstances more easily, Clr Roslyn Harrison moved this motion so that Councillors had access to more than 4 senior staff members.

RESOLVED Cr Harrison / Cr Walton

That, in an effort to streamline Councillor requests for answers to questions and to improve rate payer service delivery, the Chief Executive Officer:

A. Immediately give authority to Councillors to communicate directly with Level 3 Executive Managers, and

B. Provide Councillors with a complete reporting structure, highlighting the name, position, phone number and email of all Level 3 Executive Managers.

VOTING FOR: Crs Amon, Bingham, De Luca, Ferguson, Grattan, Harrison, Heins, Philpott, Regan, Sprott, Walton, Warren and White

AGAINST: Crs Daley and McTaggart

CARRIED
