CURRENT CONDITION OF THE SPIT BRIDGE


Spit Bridge

This was the original Notice of Motion put forward by Clr Pat Daly OAM however this motion got amended on the night by other Councillors with iten C being removed.

MOTION That:

A. Council write to the RMS requesting a full report regarding the current condition of the Spit Bridge and that this report also include appropriate information regarding protocols and procedure which relate to the ongoing maintenance of the bridge.

B. A further request be made to the RMS asking for a confidential briefing to all Councillors regarding the RMS emergency traffic and transport plan should the Spit Bridge malfunction causing it to become inoperative for a period of time.

C. Council write to the Leader of State Opposition Luke Foley requesting that he facilitate the reversal of State Labor policy regarding the termination of the Northern Beaches tunnel option should the Labor party win office at the next state election.

VOTING FOR: Crs Amon, Bingham, Daley, De Luca, Ferguson, Grattan, Regan, Sprott, Walton, Warren and White

AGAINST: Crs Harrison, Heins, McTaggart and Philpott CARRIED
